Isn't it time to drop your confusion around food?

Food First

After seeing how confusing it is to pick good food I’m calling a stop to this.

Right now this is your opportunity to eat without starving yourself, buying expensive food and supplements or going crazy!

You in?

You want to feed yourself and your family well, but how the hell are you supposed to do that when food labels are confusing, full of crazy things you cannot pronounce, not to mention the marketing words that make even the junkiest of junk food sound good?

What if you walked into the grocery store full of confidence, ready to take on the place like a pro….. labels are no match for you….. you’ve got this. You know exactly what to look for and you’re not giving in.

If you’re anything like the average person, chances are you’re just trying to eat well and feel better but you can feel how frustrating it is to grocery shop when you keep hearing “that’s bad for you” or “eat this”  and  “don’t eat that”.

And if you’re being REALLY honest with yourself, now you’re thinking about what the heck you’re actually supposed to eat!

I never knew I would feel good after eating if I just made my meals look a little different.

How was I supposed to know how my plate should look? Sure, there’s “food guides” and standard, one-size-fits-all diets, but which one fits me?

I found myself asking why a giant serving of pasta is not making me feel good.

Looking back now, I honestly didn’t know any different. And I wouldn’t assume anyone else does either.

We’re not born knowing exactly how much of what we should be eating, much less how to eat to support the individual needs of our bodies.

There’s info everywhere about how to eat and as it turns out, very little is actually helpful to us.

You couldn’t possibly be the only one who feels like conflicting food advice is everywhere. I felt so lost trying to sort through it all.

Giving up was definitely looking like the easier choice!

Something in me knew there had to be a better way. But what was it?

Feeling lost and disempowered around food was not the feeling I was going for.

The truth of the matter is this -

I know that YOU know if want to feel better, have more energy, get in better shape, fit into your favorite jeans, sleep well and stop stressing over what you’re eating then you have to take radical personal responsibility for your own health.

The fact is it’s up to YOU.

You are the captain of this ship, in what direction is your health going?

It’s not that you think it’s impossible to eat better, you simply haven’t come across a method that’s sustainable for you.

Want to know why most diets fail and leave people even worse off than before?

RESTRICTION. They focus on restriction.  But that’s not where lasting permanent change comes from!

If you REALLY want to change your eating habits AND your health it’s time to look at a long-game strategy.

Think supporting your body so you can feel good today AND in 10 years.

Not just to “drop 10lbs” fast.

The real change happens when you DECIDE you’re worth it and that you are worth making the effort to eat good food, get in tune with what foods help you feel your best and make it a lifestyle, not just a fad.

When I consciously chose the healthiest version of me I had to dig deep into how I got to the level of health I was at.

An honest look at what WASN’T working led me in the direction of nutritional therapy and the rest is history.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how to eat well.

We humans tend to complicate things, but that’s not necessary.

I didn’t make healthy changes in my life by over-thinking things to the point of near insanity, no!

I let things be as simple as I could to fit into my busy life.

Eating and meal-planning actually became easier once I had a system in place.

No longer did I worry about silly things like calories. Instead satiety became the measurement by which I would eat.

The bottom line is that I figured out a better way and it works!

How would you feel if you stopped beating yourself up over what you ate?

I used to and believe me I’m not proud of it. Self-loathe is a real thing my friend.

This is one of the reasons I created Food First for you.
