Say you have a big, juicy goal in mind. A reallllyyy big one.
And you want to hit it this time.
You’re intrigued by this outcome and can’t wait for that feeling of accomplishment.
To say you’re obsessed is an understatement!
You have been thinking about what you’ll do when you achieve your goal for months now.
You did all the things.
Wrote down your goal.
Posted it on your fridge.
Made it your screensaver.
Put it on your vision board.
Said your affirmations twice a day.
You feel like you have done everything right….yet here you sit with no feeling of accomplishment.
No celebrating.
No happy dance.
WTAF!?!?
Guys, the struggle is real here. We know we want something and take the steps to get there yet it just didn’t happen.
Something along the way kept leading to that goal getting sabotaged.
Let me share something with you.
Fear is one big reason we end up unknowingly sabotaging our biggest goals.
It’s not always the kind of fear you might think of either.
We can carry deep rooted fears of change.
Fear of being judged for our diet and lifestyle changes.
Fear of being noticed for wearing more body-hugging types of clothing when hiding behind baggy clothes was our usual.
There’s also this fear I used to experience of being noticed.
I literally remember a time when I simply didn’t want to be noticed just because I didn’t like the way my body looked. I think many of us have been there. It’s a pretty boring place to be.
Thankfully those days are over and I now enjoy all the confidence in the world.
Back to fears though…..
Another fear I have noticed is the fear of being questioned over changes you made in your life.
Say your friends and co-workers gotta know all the details of what you have been doing, is it safe, did your Dr recommend it and so much more.
I totally get how such questions and conversations could make someone uncomfortable if they are already relatively quiet.
I think you can see where this is going, there’s unlimited potential fears you could be carrying that are keeping you from the success you truly want to see in your health journey.
One thing I want you to understand is that WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER CONTROLLED BY YOUR FEARS, IT’S GAME OVER FOR YOUR LIMITATIONS.
That’s right. Boom! They have no more power over you.
You are the one who decides if you will live your life in fear of change or if you will take the bold step to feel better and improve your health.
It’s not the people judging you or asking you questions that make that decision for you. It’s you.
This is the perfect example of how you get to choose you every day. Wake up and choose you. (Not wake up and choose violence, lol)
Take a moment today and ask yourself what you are afraid of happening in your life when you achieve your health goal?
If you aren’t sure then try this: “I know I don’t know but if I did know what would it be?”
Then ask yourself if this will be your ultimate truth no matter what?
I’ll give you a hint….. it’s not.
Fear is a liar, you are worthy of achieving every single health goal you set and then some.
You weren’t born with fear. You learned it somewhere along the line and now it’s time to unlearn.
There is less than one month of 2023 and you can decide to continue on as you are or take the bold step to change your health for the better.
Food First is your ticket there.
Best wishes,
Cheri
